Using Camtasia Software to Produce Video (Domestic Animal)

Domestic Animals

This content material is actually designed to teach the concepts of domestic animals for grade one in English class. To deliver this lesson, we have created a video lesson using Camtasia studio.

To prepare a video tutorial in Camtasia studio, firstly, we have prepared a PowerPoint presentation on the topic of domestic animals mainly focusing on teaching the meaning, examples, and types of domestic animals. Also, we are teaching what type of domestic animals are there in the locality and some of the uses of domestic animals. While preparing the PowerPoint presentation, we inserted animations, transitions, and background music.

After completing the preparation of the ppt, we opened the Camtasia studio software and recorded the video. If I write the steps in recording the video of ppt in the Camtasia studio;

  • Opened the ppt and minimized it to the taskbar
  • Opened the Camtasia studio software and clicked on the record the screen button
  • From record the screen button, clicked on the record button, and started the recording
  • Used F10 to pause the recording and took a turn in recording the presentation
  • After completing the recording and editing, we have saved the video by clicking on the produce and share button
  • Saved video on desktop and given the title

I have uploaded the ppt as well as the video to my blog. The procedures for uploading ppt are as follows;

  • Click on add new post
  • Go to google apps and click on the google drive
  • Go to my drive and click on upload the file
  • Select the file and open it
  • Double click on the ppt
  • Click on the file and click on publish to the web
  • Choose embed and click the “Start slideshow as soon as the player loads” and “restart the slideshow after the last slide”
  •  Publish and click ok

While adding the video I have followed the following steps

  • In same post as in ppt by keeping HTML view, write the title
  • From insert video button, selected upload from computer
  • Chosen the video, opened it, chosen the layout
  • Click on the update button
