Constructive tool & Simulation lesson

Constructive Tool

A constructive tool is a general-purpose tool that can be used to manipulate information, construct their own knowledge or visualize students' understanding.

Some examples of constructive tools such as Desktop publishing programs are MS Word, Spreadsheet & PowerPoint, Concept mapping, and Multimedia software tools such as Camtasia studio, google classroom, etc. for designing the learning materials to enhance teaching and learning.

ICT-based constructive tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Social networks, and C-map tools help learners to learn concepts. But in this class, we have learned how to create simple simulation lessons using PowerPoint presentations. So, I will upload the simulation lesson which I have created using only one slide in ppt.

The simulation lesson is on germination, class 4 science. It only teaches the basic concepts of germination and some of the processes of germination.

Process of creating simple simulation in ppt

  • Open the ppt slide (only 1 slide) keeping the blank layout
  • Select the rectangular shapes from the shape option and drag them till it covers the whole slide.
  • Add title, pictures, and animation accordingly.
  • Repeat the 2nd and 3rd steps until you are done with the content intended to present.
  • At last, by clicking the animation pane in the animation tab, adjust the timing of the animation
  • Insert background music from the audio button
  • At last, by clicking on the slideshow record the slide show, record from the current slide, and press the escape key when the recording is finished.
  • Save the video by clicking on the file button, save as, select the desktop as a location to save video, and select save type as windows media video.
  • Then it will automatically save the video on the desktop.
I need not have to write the process to upload a video to the blog since I have already written it in previous videos on the domestic animal.

This is the simple simulation video that I have created using ppt.
